Subtitles on in this house, it’s not they don’t speak clearly but it takes me a bit longer to decipher what they say and I don’t want to miss anything.

I have subtitles on most of the time Venetian.

Breakfast looked pretty decent from what I could see. Good portion sizes too.

Stevie looks like he could be a bit hard to please, and he's already got 'I'm just being honest' in too.

Tonight's place didn't get much wrong. Nice enough room, likeable hosts, good breakfast, and all in a pleasant location. But I'd have to say no. It's a good offer, but at least £30 a night overpriced. A shame really.

Also, mould on the marmalade tomorrow. Oh dear.

I'm torn on tonight's. Price wise they're just a bit too top heavy for my liking. But, the rooms were nice, I quite like them as hosts and both the surroundings and breakfasts looked good. So overall it's a "yes" from me.

The breakfasts looked good. I liked the hosts, the rooms and the location but unfortunately because of the price it would have to be a no for me. Oh, and get rid of that horrendous red and white wallpaper in reception.

Tomorrow's breakfast looks like it could be interesting.....mold on the marmalade and a score of 2 from someone 🤮

Yeah. The mould on the marmalade is pretty grim, however it's not really worth eight points off. Therefore that suggests other things go wrong too. It's going to be interesting as you say.

Definite yes from me, were all the rooms the same price? Not sure if I heard £150 or £165, maybe it was both, I’m OK with £150 but no more.

Couple of schoolboy errors from Ciaran regarding no beaker or bin in the bathroom, however they seemed puzzled about the no bin comment could the contestants have missed it? But leaving the heat on until late in the evening isn’t a good idea, it didn’t seem as the episode was filmed in the depths of winter.

I have a weather eye in the chap who agreed to disagree with his wife about staying again, was that the one his wife described as a ‘perfectionist’.

They generally marry older men. Not saying there's anything wrong with that if they're both happy.

Oh, absolutely! Couldn't agree more. Four in a Bed : New Series (Part 5) - Page 846 (30) I'm sure many turn out to be huge successes and totally and mutually beneficial for each all round. Unfortunately I suspect that's not always the case though.

Yes it was and I would have to say NO. The cost would be my only issue.

Nice enough rooms but very expensive and what with the small tv's....a pet peeve of mine ? At least todays activity gives us a taste of the area.

Yes it was a good activity but I would have expected a bit of Riverdance as well

Yes they did and the criticism was unjustified

Own goals IMO. A lack of preparation. They admitted that the heating shouldn't have been on.

Evening folks I'm back after moving house and missing almost all of the last lot of new episodes except for a few bits and pieces. My house move went fine but as soon as I moved I had a few minor health issues and then everything shut down for Christmas and New Year so my schedule for getting things done went out the window. Now back on track and no more health issues (fingers crossed)

Great to see NI being represented and the added bonus of no glamping. A refreshing change.

I liked tonight's place and the bedroom decor was very nice with lovely views. Not so keen on the reception decor. It kind of hit you in the face. Not sure about the price, maybe a bit heavy.

Des )?) said there was no beaker in the bathroom for rinsing after brushing his teeth. I've been told by more than one dentist you should not rinse after brushing although a beaker in the bathroom would still be handy. I haven't rinsed after brushing for many years now although I used to.

I'm a bit fussy about eggs but the fella that complained his wasn't cooked enough was even more picky, it looked fine to me. If he wanted it cooked more then it would have been hard and he should've requested that as I think the majority prefer eggs to have soft yolks.

Don't understand the lady complaining about the ridge round the edge of the mattress. Every mattress I've ever had has had that but then again I don't sleep right on the edge of the bed.

Hello Mrs B nice to see you, to see you nice 😊

The mattress comment was very strange, don’t all mattresses have ridges, if they didn’t folks would slide down the sides.

Cheers for the reminder TUO. I wasn't expecting new episodes until spring, especially with the later finish in the year finish to the last series. A welcome surprise anyway with a trip across to Northern Ireland.

Tonight's place was overall decent, with an attractive view, but perhaps a little unremarkable in the decor department. The quality was there with the bedding though. Breakfast was the main highlight with what looked to be a nicely presented hearty offering. Stevie does appear tricky to please if that was his idea of undercooked eggs and bread. Tomorrow's host going for an interesting tactic of a plea for mercy rather than bravado in the face of his critique.

I thought not another issue with it being too hot, however he admitted the error with turning off the rad's too late. A few over odd quirks with the plug socket and lack of bathroom bin. Cost wise it was perhaps a bit above it's value, yet I would have probably stayed again.

Tonight's place was fine, if slightly overpriced, lovely views. I have June and Stevie down as being the awkward ones this week. They may surprise me, but there was nothing wrong with the breakfast and him not wanting to return and being overruled, raised a bit of a red flag.

I've already mentioned on the Come Dine with Me thread, but for anyone interested, Nici from Cross Keys Hotel in Saffron Walden is on CDWM this week. She was on a while ago, 2018, and had picky Tracy from Rigsby's in her week. Cross Keys won though.
