Collier County, Florida

Located on the southeast coast of Florida, along the Gulf of Mexico, Collier County was created in 1923 from part of Lee County. It was named for Barron Collier, an advertising agent and land developer who moved to the area from New York City. The county has a total area of 2,305 square miles. It is the largest county in the state by land area. The county seat is East Naples.

The Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court is an independently elected Constitutional Officer and Public Trustee whose responsibilities include Keeper of Court and Public Records, auditor, accountant, and “Watchdog” of all public funds.
